Pearce's Christening

Pearce was Christened in Oxford at the Methodist church I grew up in last Sunday. He looked like a doll in his gown and did perfectly during the service. We were so proud of him. Grandmama and Daddy Joe had a party for him at their house afterwards.
Pearce is sitting on the afghan knitted by my Mimi (Dad's mom) who passed away years ago. He is named after her mother's family.. the Pearce's

A Few Firsts for Pearce!

3 Months has been a big one! Pearce has had a lot of firsts.

1) He ROLLED OVER! I am very sad to say that I did not catch it on camera.

2) He had his first baby food... applesauce yumm yummm.
Ready and waiting for his first big boy meal

He was quite confused by the spoon in his mouth.
He actually did swallow some... I promise.
hmmmm... I think I might like this stuff.

We don't claim to be the neatest eater just yet. We'll work on table manners later.
Peas.... not so good. Pearce was not a fan.

3) Pearce got in his exersaucer for the first time and LOVED it.
He was so overwhelmed with all the stuff to play with that he had this shocked look on his face for the first 5 minutes.

4) Pearce took daddy's car for a spin.
Watch out ladies.... I'm on my way. We're gonna have to watch this one.

Good Times at the Toms'

Why is it that his thunder thighs and rolls are precious? Pearce is passed out on Momma and Daddy's bed after some serious playtime.
Guess who dressed Pearce today? Hard one, huh?

Mack daddy trying to grab little Madelyn's hand. Good thing the mommies were there to supervise.
Pearce's LOVES when daddy gets home from work!
The dreaded tummy time. I'm surprised he's not screaming in this picture. The child hates tummy time. I feel almost mean making him do it.

3 Month Birthday

It's hard to believe it has already been 3 months. Pearce is growing up so fast. Now he is trying hard to sit up and roll over. He pulls himself forward to try and sit up straight. He also loves to grab onto his clothes and tries to put everything in his mouth. He is knowingly reaching for certain toys, cooing a lot, and trying so very hard to talk to you when you talk to him. He smiles all the time and loves to be right up in whatever is going on around him. He is so much fun!

We had ColdStone Ice Cream cupcakes to celebrate the big 3 month birthday. We sang happy birthday, then mommy and daddy enjoyed Pearce's cupcakes while he munched on a yummy cereal bottle.
