My GOLDEN BIRTHDAY weekend - 29 on March 29th!

Before I start talking about me, here are a couple of shots of someone much more important.

I know that most of you readers are really only interested in what Pearce is doing and pictures of him, but I had to do a 29 on the 29th birthday post, because I just loved it!

We went to Oxford over my birthday weekend and had a blast of a time. We kicked off Friday night with baseball and a dinner at City Grocery with some of our favs to celebrate Pstrong's 30th! It was a great time.

Saturday, we enjoyed the gorgeous weather and kicked off the Golden Birthday celebration (well the end of the celebration - I'd been celebrating all month)! My sweet cute mom sent me presents all month... how awesome is she? They were mostly "golden themed". Such as, a golden tan leather jacket (YAY), and a gold striped scarf. She made sure I got a present on my "expected" birthday - St. Patty's day :) Did I mention that I LOVE birthdays?!!! Not just mine... everybody's! I have vowed to always make every birthday for my children as awesome as my mom has always made ours. You should blow it out for the day you were born! Celebrate the life of the ones you love!!! There's my quote of the day :) Anyway, Saturday we had all the family out at my parents house for presents and cake. Then, we hit the square. There just happened to be an electric bull at the Library, and there was definitely some riding involved. However, pictures are unavailable. I want one of those things for my backyard as a regular workout routine. I tell you... I have NEVER been that sore in my life. NEVER!

Sunday we went to Taylor grocery for a fun family catfish dinner. Then, Monday (my actual birthday) we headed back to Madison for a sushi dinner with Aunt Meg and Uncle B! It was the BEST birthday yet! Thanks to my sweet sweet family and friends for all the fun and love. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures from Friday, Sunday, or Monday night, but we got a lot on Saturday. So, here ya go....

So mom had me do a little scavenger hunt to find my big present. She's always very creative with gifts. I had to follow thread (hint hint) which was strung all over the big room...

RAISING MONEY FOR MY NEPHEW!!!

As some of you know, my adorable sweet nephew, Carter, has Cystic Fibrosis. If you don't know what this chronic disease is go to www.cff.org to read about it. GREAT STRIDES helps raise money that is crucial to fund the research to fight CF! There was a new drug that came out a few years ago that has helped keep cute Carter out of the hospital and healthy! Please help this research continue, so they can one day find a CURE for this disease. Every dollar helps!

Whew.... Sold house, Birthday, Easter, and a 1st Birthday

SO Big!

It's been a busy and exhausting few weeks, but a FABULOUS few weeks of parties as well. So, there will be lots of posts coming now that I have a little down time from party festivities!

First, if you didn't already know, we sold our house, which wasn't even on the market! Long story short.... our realtor called March 19, said a guy wanted a house in our neighborhood at some point in the future and might like ours and she knew we wanted to move closer to home eventually. We said why not let him look - what's to loose right? Well, he looked on the 20th and asked what he had to do to get it. We told him, and we all signed the papers on the 22st! CRAZY!!! So, we'll be moving May 20th to Oxford.... and CANNOT WAIT to get where our family all is!

Next, we kicked off all the parties with my golden birthday - 29 on March 29th - which the fam made FANTASTIC, then we moved on to Pearce's birthday extravaganzas (yes, plural). The big one year old had 3 parties :) It was so fun to do though! He had a family birthday party and egg hunt hosted by his grandmama and nina in Collierville on Saturday of Easter weekend. Then, we moved on to Easter celebrations the next day. Tuesday, the 6th, was his actual birthday, so we had an all day special day and a little cookout at the house that night. Then, for the finale, we had a party for all his precious friends (and ours) at our house this past Sunday. As if you don't already know.... there were TONS of pictures taken over the last few weeks. Many posts to come, but here's a sneak peak from his actual birthday day. BTW... I made that "1" shirt at one AM on Monday night b/c I insisted he have one to wear on his bday. I have to say, I was kind of proud of myself.

Happy Hump Day From Pearce!

I hope everyone had as fabulous a Hump Day as Pearce did. Kindermusik, perfect weather, a long stroll, walking anything that rolls around the house, and a pajama play date party at Madelyn's to end the day while Momma went to a class made for one wildly wonderful Wednesday!

WISHING YOU A WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY
"Momma, you gotta get me set up with some sort of stylist for this mullet I got forming. It's seriously killing my look."
In my defense: Aren't you supposed to wait until they're one to get it cut? Only a couple of weeks to go!
Back to wonderful wednesday...

Pearce's 1st St. Patty's Day, Crawfish boil and St. Patty Parade!!!

St. Patrick's day holds a special place in my heart amongst holidays, because it was my due date (not for Pearce, but for me). My birthday was supposed to be St. Patty's day. I just decided to be a little late (2 weeks - poor mom). Anyway, we had to go all green! I'm a self proclaimed holiday obsessor! As for a fabulous weekend, we had a crawfish boil Friday night and the St. Patty's parade on Saturday.

These pics should be down with the crawfish boil ones, but somehow they got here.
Anyway... Ryan grubbing out.
Ummmm.... yummm! Cooked by an authentic Nola boy!
ST. PATTY'S DAY
Look at the big boy standing all by himself to model his St. Patrick's day attire.
Notice the sippy cup on the foot of the highchair. Pearce had rather eat off that than off the tray that day, so he did. I guess he sees me standing and eating all the time, usually with him on my other hip. So, I can't blame him for thinking that's how it should be done.
This is how we walk now, with one hand on a push toy! I don't think it will be long before we are no-handed!
A ride on the rocket
He is so detailed. It's really funny.
He uses that one little pointer finger to push or examine everything!
There's a fine line between redneck and fun holiday celebrating. We were very close to the line on this one and might have even stepped over. Again, I'm a holiday goob.... LOVE THEM!

Matching lucky charms t's

Friday our fabulous NOLA neighbors decided to host their first crawfish boil of the season, which I have been BEGGING poor Jason to do for weeks! I had to basically sit out last year, because I was so pregnant! The crawfish was EXCELLENT and it was so much fun!

Pearce caught a snooze before heading over to Madelyn's for the crawfish. How funny is his hand on the bars with passy and lovie right next to the other hand.
Pearce and Madelyn playing :)

Lauren Clanton (one of the triplets next door) They all made it over for the crawfish too :)
Ryan with his favorite toddlers, Pearce (11 months) and Madelyn (10 months)

The crew watching their parents grub on crawfish and beverages of choice!
Lana, Lauren, and Chase Clanton chilling front row in the bumbos
Pearce and Madelyn in their "box" seats
Pearce: "look at your momma trying to show my momma how to correctly eat the crawfish, now that's a good laugh"
Madelyn: "do you think our dadas are in an eating contest? I haven't seen them look up from the plates in quite a while"
I mean really.... are these the cutest things you have EVER seen or what?!
Saturday we headed to the St. Patty's day parade downtown and just happen to walk up upon lots of our friends, which made it super fun. Great weather. Great time.

I still cannot believe it was 70 that day and the next day it was snowing here...
welcome to Mississippi!

Michelle and Wright. He wanted a beverage to take off the edge before the parade began.
KERMET! Pearce wanted to attack him with LOVE. Wright could have cared less. But, there was no way they were both going to look at the camera.

A little snack, and yes, I purposely chose the green snack bowl and a green passy and a green sippy cup :)
