It was Pearce's first beach trip. Grandmama, Daddy Joe, Aunt Cayce, & Uncle Joe were all in attendance, and Pearce let mommy and daddy come too! Aunt Emmy, Uncle Craig, and Cousin Carter couldn't make it because Carter's had to get ready to start 1st grade the next week!
If you've never been on a beach trip with an infant, it goes like this:
1) slather on the sunscreen (Daddy was calling Pearce Casper)
2) pack up all the gear (blankets, bumbo, tent, umbrella, towels, bottles, formula, hats, sunscreen, toys, wipes, diapers, burp cloths, bibs, swimmy diapers, floats, and the list goes on)
3) get ready to walk out the door, no wait, go change a diaper first
4) finally haul yourself and all your gear down to the beach (were going to be on the beach by 8, but make it by 10:30) ready to get some UV's
5) sit under the umbrella all day, so your baby won't get burned or too hot, spend the majority of the time under the umbrella trying to get sand out of his hands, eyes, mouth, and toes, spend the rest of the time trying to get the baby to pose for perfect beach shots
6) Go home not nearly as tan as you intended to be BUT with wonderful memories of the first beach trip and a precious baby boy next to you in the car! totally worth it!

Pearce (the non-napper) actually took the BEST naps at the beach. Please take note that he is passed out on mommy's juicy cover-up too!
He is SO adorable! You are right on about trips and babies! Looks like ya'll had fun! How is Emily doing?
